![]() What's new? You don't even own the game.Nippon Ichi Software and NIS America have announced Disgaea 6 Complete for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC (Steam). Sounds like a Steam forum user that is complaining about criticism for no real reason. Granted, there's an easy workaround, but realistically most aren't going to be bothered to do that (and it's going to be more challenging to do so under Proton), and it's implementation is causing easily preventable performance problems. The game runs absolutely fine when disabling it (Which points towards how it's being implemented being a problem), It doesn't have this same behavior on my Steam Deck, and most games I've played don't have this problem when using it. VSync doesn't cut the framerate in half, unless it's double buffered and cannot hold a target consistently. ![]() Sounds like you're complaining for no real reason. Why not just keep VSYNC off since your PC is good enough to maintain 144? If the game has a config file that can be edited, it may be possible to change the refresh rate the game locks to when vsync is enabled to 144 instead of 60/120 or whatever "Half" is. ![]() Your hardware is literally limited when Vsync is enabled, as your FPS is limited your hardware doesnt have to work as hard compared to when its disabled.Īnd considering the recommended GPU is a 750 Ti, your GPU being loads better means it doesnt have to work nearly as hard when Vsync is enabled so its NORMAL for CPU/GPU usage to be lowered.
